Cutting their teeth on standards from the Great American Songbook\, Feestet formed from a weekly jazz jam in 2021. Since then\, they’ve performed at several notable local venues and events: Jazz at Five\, North Street Cabaret\, Atwood Fest\, The Sessions at McPike Park\, and the Madison Jazz Festival. \nFeestet loves to introduce jazz sounds into new spaces. New fans often say: “I don’t like jazz much\, but I loved that!” Thus\, Feestet dubs their sound “gateway jazz.” \nSometimes\, jazz gets a bad rap for being too ‘elitist’ or ‘difficult’ to follow. Please join us for free food\, fun\, lawn games\, and casual conversation! Hang with neighbors and get to know some of the police officers who work in our neighborhood. Ask any questions about policing\, crime trends\, neighborhood safety\, or whatever is on your mind.\n\nKids and adults alike enjoy seeing the inside of a police squad\, watching the capabilities of a police drone\, or meeting a police horse or K9 (as resources allow).\n\nMillions of neighbors take part in National Night Out (NNO) events across the country each year during the first week of August. DESCRIPTION:Little Priest Singers are a southern/Ho Chunk family drum based in Wisconsin Dells.  Come out to hear a variety of Ho Chunk music as the family drums and sings songs from their heritage.  See firsthand the beauty of the Ho Chunk Native Dress.  Experience in-depth understanding of each song through dance and storytelling.  Stay afterward for an opportunity to ask questions and take photos with the band. \nThe Ho-Chunk are one of two of the First Nations of Wisconsin with an oral history that places their origin in Wisconsin at Móogašuc\, or the Red Banks.  In their oral history\, the Red Banks is the first Ho-Chunk village near present-day Green Bay\, Wisconsin.  The Ho-Chunk Nation’s ten million acres of ancestral land\, between the Mississippi and Rock Rivers\, were recognized in treaties between the United States and the Ho-Chunk Nation.

DESCRIPTION:The event will continue as planned for tonight!  Join us on the patio at The Glen from 5:30-7:30 for some great tunes and don’t forget to dress warmly!\nThe Mike Schneider Band has been entertaining audiences throughout Wisconsin\, Illinois\, Iowa\, Michigan\, Minnesota\, and Ohio since 1996. Since that time\, Mike and his band have been nominated for 24 polka awards from five separate organizations. In 2009\, they took home the Band of the Year Award from the Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame after eight nominations in the category since 1998. Mike also holds the honor of being one of the youngest people ever inducted into the Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame at the age of 18 in 1997. \nMike is now the Polka Prompt Creator for the Milwaukee Brewers!  If you go to a home game this season\, you’ll hear Mike’s music throughout the game!

DESCRIPTION:The term “gagok” translates directly to Art Song\, a genre of Korean vocal music.  Since their founding in 2023\, the Wisconsin Gagok Ensemble has been dedicated to the promotion and performance of Korean Art Song in Wisconsin and beyond.  Soprano Youngjoo Hong\, Mezzo Soprano Jessica Schwefel\, and Pianist Susan Gaeddert curate programs of music by 20th and 21st century Korean Art Song composers.  They strive to make this art form more accessible for western audiences. They collaborate with other artists and performers to cultivate other aspects Korean and Korean American culture in our state.
