Mineral Point Road: Potential Lane Reduction & Parking Removal
Background Information: City Traffic Engineering is looking into the potential of permanently reducing Mineral Point Road, along the resurfacing section, from four lanes to two lanes with a center left-turn lane and bike lanes.
Preliminary observations show that the on-street parking is not highly utilized and traffic volumes are low enough to accommodate the lane reduction. This “road diet” will require all on-street parking to be permanently restricted, along this stretch. City Traffic Engineering will present data and ask for feedback on this proposal.
Listening Session: On December 19th at 5pm, the City Engineering and Traffic Engineering will be making a short presentation regarding the Resurfacing Projects and will be answering questions.
